I was first introduced to security when I accepted a Human Resource Manager (HRM) / Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) position with a government contractor. I quickly found myself drawn deeper into the field, transitioning from HR into roles as Facility Security Officer (FSO), Insider Threat Program Senior Official (ITPSO), and SCIF Site Security Manager. In this capacity, I oversaw construction of the company's first SCIF from the ground up, working closely with Contracting Officer's Representatives (CORs), Industrial Security, and the contracting company throughout the accreditation process — and ensured it stayed in compliance long after.
In 2019, I was offered the opportunity to provide remote security consulting services, a decision that changed the course of my life. It gave me the flexibility to balance family and work, and it planted the seed for what would grow into Severe Security Consulting (SSC) — a company built on the same standards of trust, compliance, and dedication I brought to that very first SCIF project.

Originally from North Texas and a graduate of Texas Tech University, I started my career as a Financial Advisor at a prominent financial services firm. In 2023, I moved to Maryland, joined Severe Security Consulting LLC that October, and began my journey in the security industry. I've advanced quickly since, earning my Facility Security Officer certification and the necessary clearance credentials, which allow me to confidently serve a variety of industry clients.
My attention to detail and background in financial services helped me adapt quickly to government contracting and its strict compliance standards. I genuinely enjoy building strong relationships and earning our clients' trust — it's crucial for success in this industry and for promoting a strong security culture for clients and their employees.

During my 15 years supporting the DoD, I've held a range of roles, beginning as a Security Officer before advancing into Personnel & Facility Security.
I joined the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) as a Security Manager, where I implemented security programs across multiple organizations, supported the Threat Modeling Center, and managed over 500 badges for personnel and VIPs during Flight Test operations for Ground-Based Midcourse Missile Defense.
I also oversaw several Special Access Program Facility (SAPF) and Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) spaces, maintained facility and personnel security clearance Systems of Record (SORs), and, as COMSEC custodian, led the implementation of a new badging system. In addition, I conducted security awareness briefings and served as the Insider Threat Program Liaison Officer — a role that reflects my ongoing commitment to safeguarding sensitive information and personnel.

With 15 years of experience as an Industrial Security Professional, I bring deep expertise across the Intelligence Community, having served as an In-House Company Facility Security Officer (FSO), Facility Clearance (FCL) Program Manager, and Security Information Specialist. I've also organized and led Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) and Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) training sessions.
My work has centered on strengthening security posture: conducting risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities, leading security audits of contractor facilities with detailed findings and recommendations, and managing FCL submissions to keep the process smooth for industry contractors.
I also engaged with the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) community, speaking at forums about contractual security responsibilities and championing a counterintelligence (CI) mindset across the industry.

I bring 18 years of business management experience across private companies and government entities, most recently overseeing the Finance, Human Resources, and Information Technology Security divisions for the Public Safety Department at the Medical University of South Carolina. I hold a Master of Business Administration, which continues to inform my strategic and financial leadership.
As Personnel Resource and Finance Manager at SSC, I'm committed to advancing the company's strategic growth and financial performance while promoting its vision and delivering exceptional support to clients.
Since joining the SSC Team in August 2024, I've seen firsthand the impact of a team held to the highest standards — professionals who serve not just as vendors, but as a true extension of every client they support.

I joined the SSC Team part-time while pursuing a full-time degree in Computer Science at Towson University, with a focus on Cybersecurity and Operations. During my senior year, I took dual enrollment classes at the Community College of Baltimore County, studying Computer Science, Java, Music Tech, Business, Web Design, and Graphic Design. I also led the STEM Changemaker Project and the Tech Student Association, and managed the Creative Activity Services Project in the IB program.
I enjoy supporting the SSC team via phone, email, chat, or virtual meetings. I stay informed on the latest technology and approach challenges with patience, empathy, and a friendly, professional attitude.
I joined the SSC Team with a background in communications, marketing, and administrative support. I earned my bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Southeastern University and am currently pursuing a master's degree in Counseling at Asbury Theological Seminary. My experience has helped me develop skills in professional communication, writing, organization, and creative content development.
I enjoy combining creativity and attention to detail to support the SSC Team's day-to-day operations and growth. I value organization, collaboration, and the production of high-quality work that benefits the SSC team and the clients we support.

Severe Security Consulting LLC (SSC) provides industrial security support to clients across the Department of War, non-DoW organizations, and the Intelligence Community — filling roles such as Facility Security Officer (FSO), Insider Threat Program Senior Official (ITPSO), and Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO), among others.
Founded in June 2019, SSC has grown steadily ever since — from supporting small teams to organizations with over 4,000 full-time employees. That growth has been entirely organic, driven by word-of-mouth referrals from clients who trust us as a true extension of their team.

The SSC Team is composed of experienced security professionals with decades of combined agency and industry expertise. We maintain trusted relationships with government agencies — including the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) — and members of the Intelligence Community, giving our clients the benefit of an extensive, well-connected network.
Our services include guiding clients through the DCSA Facility Clearance Sponsorship Process and Industrial Security Assessments, addressing security concerns for both employees and clients, and enhancing overall security awareness. Just as important, we tailor our level of engagement to fit each client's unique needs — whether that entails an advisory role or comprehensive hands-on support.

At SSC, our mission is to be the trusted security partner government contractors count on — providing expert, personalized support that protects their people, their programs, and their peace of mind.

Speed matters in this industry, and our team is built for it. Fully cleared and ready to support clients from day one, we work to expedite the clearance process while maintaining the highest standards of compliance. Whether you're a subcontractor or a prime contractor, SSC ensures your security needs are met with professionalism and precision.
